D.R. Congo: nearly falling in a swamp whilst trying to relieve myself at the roadside!

After an 8 and 1/2 hour drive across to Uganda we arrived in Kampala at Pastor Paddy’s church. It’s an impressive concrete structure that seats 800 and runs 3 services on Sunday. It’s great to meet up with Paddy again and prepare to serve the pastors and business leaders he is bringing again together tomorrow. Praying that we will be able to meet their unique needs.

The highlight of our stay in Kasese was meeting up with old friends from Watchman International who had originally introduced us to the D.R. Congo. We had our best night sleep yet, aided by cold showers before going to bed under our mosquito nets.

The drive today took us through the Queen Elizabeth National Park again where, in addition to dear and buffalo, we also spotted an elephant and were able to feed some roadside monkeys with banana! Other highlights of the journey included playing 20 questions and alphabet word games, and me nearly falling in a swamp whilst trying to relieve myself at the roadside! Onward and Upward.
